This power-cat was built by the single handed sailor Jean Maurel in 2006 in sandwich balsa / epoxy infusion from an initiall transatlantic racing catamaran mould designed by Gilles Ollier in 1992 for Alain Gautier The « Areva » Corporation (nuclear business), partner of the 2007 America’s Cup french K-Challenge, acquired this boat with a given name of « Catareva »in order to host public relation in Valencia (Spain).
1988 olympic champion Thierry Peponnet became acquired the boat in December 2008 with the idea of using this catamaran as a working boat to follow nautical events in the Middle See : Photos and TV video Production, media boat, race management, with a new name Tivicat (TVcat). The stable platform of the catamaran is well appreciated by cameramen and photographs alike, who can sit comfortably with their computers  to work on their editing and footage.
